what game engine are you using that forces the fps display to always be there?

Flash Develop. It's not the engine, it's the fact that I lost the source files before the game was 100% completed. Now, if I wanted to fix anything I would have to redo most of the game.

i have no idea how to buy anything that isnt a gun
also the upgrade price scaling is weirdly inconsistent, when bought it turns more expensive than if you didnt buy, maybe the levelling system makes things cheaper and i dont understand that

It might be confusing if you judge the upgrade prices by looking at what you see in the upgrade panel. You will notice that those prices change in real time. It's because half the gold generated gets stored inside these towers for auto-upgrade. As more gold gets reserved, you need less gold to pay to do that upgrade.
